Carilion Clinic awarded the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) 2025 CHAMPIONS Award

Carilion has been selected as one of only five organizations awarded the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) 2025 CHAMPIONS Award. This award is presented to those businesses that exemplify supporting employment for persons with disabilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia by hiring, supporting and learning about employing persons with disabilities. 

Each business is nominated by a local Vocation Rehabilitation Counselor. The nomination includes details about business activities that support employing persons with disabilities. Each nomination is reviewed by a statewide committee for selection as an awardee. This year, only 5 companies were selected as DARS CHAMPIONS Awardees across the Commonwealth.

By earning a DARS CHAMPIONS award, Carilion has been recognized as a true leader in providing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and is committed to continuing our commitment to this highly valuable pipeline of talent for our organization in the future.
