Answering the Call - COVID-19 Community Hotline Team

This team has been a key part of Carilion's community facing efforts during COVID.  The Community Hotline was stood up back in March to help answer our community's concerns and questions.  These ladies stepped out of their comfort zone to answer these calls.

Deana has been the cornerstone of this effort.  She volunteered up her practice's space, her management team, and her leadership to take this service under her wing.  There was no complaints as she just wanted to help!  Darla, who usually works in Carilion Direct taking patient questions, joined this team to provide training and support to those who have never worked the phone lines.  And Sarah and Megan both answered the call to be a part of this team, away from their normal duties.

Each one of these ladies pictured showed great courage to step up and provide a calming voice to our community as we navigate this time.
