Always on the move....

Hurricane Helene affected several of our central sterile units within the Carilion Giles Community Hospital and Carilion New River Valley Hospital Central Sterile Department, mandating a boil-water procedure for several weeks.

The Logistics Team has worked relentlessly to locate resources and move surgical instruments across the organization to and from CGCH, CNRV, CRCH, CRMH, CFMH, CRBH around the clock 7 days a week to ensure safety and service to our communities alike. 

The dedication, collaboration, and commitment from Dispatchers, Drivers, Logistic Supervisors along with several of the Central Sterile personnel from each location, has been phenomenal and is an example of teamwork and true Carilion values.
