Agee Receives Honorary Degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
Congratulations to Carilion President and CEO Nancy Howell Agee for receiving an honorary Doctor of Humanities and Letters degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM)!
Nancy delivered the commencement address for VCOM's graduating Class of 2022 before receiving the honor.
VCOM President and Provost Dixie Tooke-Rawlins, DO, extended gratitude to Agee for her role in promoting medical education in the region.
"We want to thank you for all you have done over the years-especially for the 200 students each year receiving their clinical education in Carilion Clinic hospitals," said Tooke-Rawlins. "Under your leadership, Carilion Clinic has been a top, strong choice for our graduates in choosing residency and fellowship positions. And we are proud of the 77 VCOM alumni who now work with you.
"We want to offer our thanks and award you for all your contributions to the New River Valley region. Thank you for bringing us a true academic health center environment."
