A great catch
On Monday 4/29/24, I was working alongside Robin Bosch, who is a CA in our Emergency Department at NRV. A patient of mine was set to be discharged home, and Robin was helping to obtain their discharge vital signs. Robin noticed that this patient's oxygen saturation was reading much lower than previous readings (80-82%) and quickly alerted me. After further workup following Robin's catch, the patient was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism and admitted to the hospital. If it weren't for Robin's attention to detail and willingness to help wherever needed, this patient could have faced a much worse outcome. Our ED team is extremely lucky to have Robin.
