Quality Awards

The Carilion Clinic Quality Awards highlight individuals and teams who have identified and implemented ways to improve the care and services we provide. Carilion employees and teams are eligible to complete the application process for these awards.

Award Categories

• Pioneer – Projects with smaller teams, impacting individual areas or departments. 
• Enterprise – Major projects with system-wide impact. 
• Community Distinction – Projects from community hospitals.
• Ambulatory Quality- Projects from ambulatory facilities
• Hold the Gains – Projects with sustained results (greater than 12 months). 
• Excellence in Advancing Care Delivery – Innovative projects that don’t fall into the traditional process-improvement framework. 

Each category will have one winner. And don’t worry about picking the right category. The judges will determine the appropriate category for each project.
