Literature Review Summary or Evidence Analysis Submission Guidelines
The summary (1,000 words) should include the following:
Title:
- Please be sure to include the complete title of your article when you submit the article below.
Background: (problem, purpose, or PICOT question)
- Describe the problem including relevant background information.
- Explain why this is a problem for nursing, the workforce, the patient & consumer and/or the organization.
Search Strategy (Data sources, key terms, limiters (if any)

Summary of the literature:
- Highlight the overall strength of the evidence. (Refer to the CLEAR Model Evidence Analysis Grading Tool), click on the link below:
- Instead of stringing summaries of individual studies, group the studies according to common factors, such as methodological approach, specific findings, etc.
- Identify the strengths and gaps of knowledge for the topic.
- Summarize the current understanding of the subject based on the literature reviewed.
Implication for Practice or Policy:
- What did you learn from this review?
- What recommendations would you make to other nurses who might address a similar issue?
Format:
You may use whatever format you wish. We will convert accepted papers to AMA format.
