I started a business process and clicked 'Submit'. What happens next?

Once you submit a business process as the initiator, you can view the steps completed so far by selecting 'View Details', then 'Details and Process' to view steps completed so far. You can view the steps remaining to complete the business process by selecting 'Remaining Process' under the Process tab. 

Once you have submitted a business process, you can always review it and check its status in your My Tasks Archive.

My business process got stuck in approvals! What should I do?

In the Exploration Environment, business processes may get stuck in review or approval. Because this is a practice environment, users may not monitor system notifications and complete tasks on a regular basis as they will at Go-Live.

I cannot log into the sandbox. What do I do?

Only employees active before January 28, 2025 will have access to the sandbox. You will be able to access Workday when it goes live on October 1!

You may partner with a friend to explore Workday together. Be mindful of unintentionally sharing personal information.

What reporting is available in this environment?

This sandbox environment has limited transactional data, so some reports may be blank. There are Workday-provided reports and custom reports for Carilion. Many reports are still being finalized and will be available in the production environment on October 1.

I want to practice but other processes need to happen first which I am not involved in.

The more people who can practice in Workday, the better! We suggest you work together to start a process from beginning to end so that you can see the full process and each get practice.
