What To Know About Class Attendance
Like other areas, our Education teams are experiencing the impact of staffing shortages. Here's how you can help maximize resources so scheduled classes are available when you need to attend:
- Check your Cornerstone home page for upcoming sessions and make sure your leader is aware of your schedule. You will also receive email notifications for upcoming training.
- If you are unable to attend a class, withdraw from the class as soon as you know (preferably five days or more in advance of the class date) to allow other employees to register and fill your seat.
If you have questions, submit an education request using the E&OD Request Portal.
For more information, visit the Education and Organizational Development hub on Inside Carilion.
Embracing education, whether it’s on the job or through formal classes, is one way we live the Carilion value of Curiosity.
Through the work of our Education and Organizational Development team, we support your learning needs through all phases of your career. Everything from classes that benefit your ongoing professional development to those that are required for your role or are necessary to complete your orientation are available.
Required classes that have been assigned to you are on your Cornerstone transcript. To add other non-required sessions to your transcript, browse training on the Cornerstone’s Event Calendar and select sessions that work best for you.
Help our Education staff maximize resources for scheduled classes by reviewing your transcripts and confirming your attendance.
