Utility Work Near CRMH Complete

Update 1/25/2024: The utility work at the intersection of South Jefferson Street and McClanahan Street/Yellow Mountain Road near CRMH has been completed, and a new stoplight is in operation.

Construction in that area is ongoing so please continue to be mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians as you travel near CRMH. 

AEP and the City of Roanoke are coordinating repairs to the utility pole and power lines at the intersection of McClanahan Street/Yellow Mountain Road and South Jefferson Streets in Roanoke near CRMH.

The flashing red and yellow lights at that intersection are out and workers have installed temporary 4-way stop signs while they conduct repairs.

Work is expected to take several weeks.

McClanahan to S. Jefferson is one of the main routes for patients and visitors—as well as employees—to get to CRMH.

At times, workers may need to temporarily detour drivers to Crystal Spring Ave. or other neighborhood streets. 

Please allow for more time on your commute for the next few weeks if you take that route, and encourage patients to allow for more time getting to appointments as well.
