The Employee Assistance Program Is Here To Help You and Your Family
It can be difficult to process things that are going on in our country and across the world. Every employee and their families have access to a counselor through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The needs for mental health support have greatly increased in recent years, and seeking out help for yourself, your children or a loved one is a sign of strength, not weakness.
"Our EAP consultants are certified licensed professionals who have been trained to provide you with guidance and resources based on your needs. They can help support you and also help with the process if you are looking for a longer-term counseling solution." says Neely Conner, director of EAP.
Increased Number of Sessions
You can now receive up to five free EAP sessions per problem per year. That means if you've already used your previously allowed three sessions, you still have two more to use this year.
These visits can be in person at the EAP office on 213 McClanahan St., virtually through the HIPAA compliant video platform or over the phone.
On-site Presence at Our Community Hospitals
EAP has increased their on-site presence across our community hospitals. They regularly travel to meet with staff and leadership teams, and consultants can now be found on-site at CRNV and CRMH.
The hope is that by getting in front of the staff at our hospitals, our EAP staff can be more aware of the day-to-day stressors affecting you and make reaching out for help easier.
If you are at CRMH, call the EAP office at 800-992-1931 or 540-981-8950 to request an appointment with the consultant there, who is located on the 13th floor.
As a reminder, all sessions with EAP are confidential and records are not maintained in Epic. If you have any questions about EAP, please contact Neely Conner at nrconner@carilionclinic.org or call the EAP office at the numbers above to schedule an appointment with a consultant.
