Summer Jobs Now Available for High School and College Students
To help our younger generation experience the health care arena—and to provide immeasurable support to our organization—we are offering once again a variety of clinical and non-clinical jobs for students.
Parents: Here is your chance to get them employed!
Applications are now open and will include rolling placements based on the applicants and their interests, skills and organizational needs.
The deadline to apply is April 12.
These roles will offer flexible schedules during summer break with the possibility of continuing throughout the school year or on future breaks. Some opportunities also offer holiday hours.
New this year, we will offer opportunities for students to socialize as a cohort and learn more about Carilion together. We are also offering professional development seminars that students can attend. Sessions will include DiSC Styles, Basic Communication and Foundations of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The summer program will also include an etiquette dinner and end-of-summer luncheon.
Positions include:
- Healthcare administrative associate
- Patient care technician
- Patient observation assistant
- Clinical assistant
- Department secretary
- Human resources assistant
- Patient Access financial representative
- Patient Access representative
Most openings are in Roanoke, Lexington and the New River Valley.
For those out of town, Roanoke College is offering summer housing.
