Phone Carrier Update Planned for CRCH and CRMH

Phone numbers at CRCH, CRMH, Rehab, the Cancer Center and several outpatient practices will change to a new carrier in April. These updates are scheduled for April 16:

• CRMH, Rehab and Cancer Center, and 213 McClanahan St., Roanoke: Tuesday, April 16, beginning at 1 p.m.

These updates have been completed:

• CRCH: Tuesday, April 2, beginning at 1 p.m.
• ION (Orthopaedics and Neuroscience Institute), Crystal Spring MOB, Carilion Family Medicine and Carilion Hospice – NRV in Radford and Carilion Family Medicine in Blacksburg: Thursday, April 11, beginning at 5:30 a.m.

There should be minimal disruptions in phone service during this change.

Calls made to these locations during these times may receive a message that the number is not in service. Callers should wait a minute then try the call again.

Any calls in progress, as well as five-digit internal dialing, should not be interrupted. This will not impact Carilion-issued mobile phones, faxes, alarms, or Biscom faxing.

Our Emergency Management and Safety team is coordinating with the TSG project team to ensure continuity in communications and patient care. These teams have already overseen successful phone carrier updates at all community hospitals and other outpatient practices.

Should there be unplanned disruptions, teams will provide real-time updates on Inside Carilion and via Everbridge as needed.
