When: Saturday, March 28, 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Where: 2823 Franklin Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24014

Don’t toss it – recycle it! Drop off your old computers, tablets, phones, power cables, or other unused electronics at our drive-through recycling event. We provide a safe and secure way to dispose of your unused electronics.

All proceeds from recycled materials will help fund bike parking areas at Carilion, supporting environmentally conscious commuting.

Important traffic information: Please enter the parking lot via Roberts Road, not via the driveway off Franklin Road. This is a different flow of traffic than past events. See the map below. We will have volunteers onsite assisting with directions.

Why is recycling electronics important?

Many electronic items contain chemicals, and when improperly disposed of, the chemicals can leach into and accumulate in our soil and water. If humans are exposed to these, it can lead to health concerns such as increased risk of cancer, impaired thyroid function, negative birth outcomes, and a greater susceptibility to autoimmune disease.
