Open Enrollment Ends Nov. 16!

Don't forget to choose your 2021 benefits by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16!

 

After Nov. 16, you will have to experience a major life event, such as the birth of a child, to make any changes to your benefits.

Although there are few changes this year (medical, dental and vision rates and plans stay the same!), it's still worth reviewing all your benefits options to be sure you have the lineup that best suits you and your family. Plus, you may want to take advantage of our new FSA vendor, Connect Your Care and the new Aetna Critical Illness and Aetna Accident voluntary plans.

There are many resources to help you understand your benefits and rewards options. Here’s how to make your best-fit benefits choices:

  • Meet ALEX ®, our interactive online benefits guru, at https://www.myalex.com/CarilionClinic/2021. He's charming, funny and available at any time. Most importantly, he has all the knowledge on 2021 benefits to help you make choices about important life events—from selecting a health insurance plan to managing leaves of absence. Whenever you want to talk, ALEX will walk you through your benefits and rewards choices so you can make decisions based on personal and anticipated needs.
     
  • Go to the Your Carilion Rewards hub in the Main Menu on the Inside Carilion homepage to learn about all your available benefits and rewards.
     
  • Go to Open Enrollment 2021 in the Main Menu on the Inside Carilion homepage to review your benefits changes, additions and all the details for completing open enrollment.

How to Complete Open Enrollment

  • Complete the Open Enrollment checklist on My Total Access by Nov. 16.
     
    • Be sure to use the Firefox browser.
    • Remember that My Total Access is only available through the Carilion network or apps portal (https://apps.carilionclinic.org).
    • See Open Enrollment 2021 for important information about logging into My Total Access outside of work.
       
  • Enroll or re-enroll to participate in a Flexible Spending Account (re-enrollment is not automatic).
     
  • Except for an FSA, your benefits selections will stay the same if you don’t enroll in or change your benefits for 2021.
