Our mission is simple and powerful: Improve the health of the communities we serve. 

Each and every one of our team members is a vital part of our Carilion community and helps us to fulfill our mission. 

Whatever your background, beliefs or experiences, you bring something unique and significant to our workplace, and it’s those differences that help us provide quality, compassionate care to a broad and diverse group of patients. 

It’s Shine nomination season, and it seems like a fitting time to reaffirm our values-based commitment to each other. For 125 years, our mission and values have shaped our organization—that’s not changing. We have been, and will always be, committed to cultivating a workplace where everyone belongs, and our differences are valued—where every employee has equal opportunity to have a voice, grow their career and thrive in an environment that supports their individual aspirations. 

Our commitment to caring for each other and treating everyone fairly is stronger than ever.
