IRONMAN: Photo Gallery and Event Recap

The inaugural Carilion Clinic IRONMAN 70.3 took place in Roanoke June 4 - 6. It included a 1.2-mile swim in Carvins Cove, a 56-mile bike course from Peaks of Otter to Vinton on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and a 13.1-mile (half-marathon) run on the Roanoke River Greenway. The finish line was in River's Edge Sports Complex, providing competitors views of CRMH and our Riverside campus.

More than 1,700 athletes from 45 states participated, and Carilion had over  265 volunteers and 150 medical staff throughout the course.
