Introducing the Nexus ERP Project

We are beginning a project to replace our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, moving to a system with a more modern user interface. We have selected Workday as our next ERP software partner and are targeting a summer 2025 go-live.

ERP systems help businesses manage their resources more effectively and make better decisions by providing a unified view of all their operations. An ERP is a hub that connects all of the different parts of a business, such as Accounting, Finance, Materials Management, HR and more. All employees interact with the ERP when managing things like payroll, benefits and education.

We have made the decision to move on from our current ERP software partner, Infor (Lawson), and have thanked them for their support over two decades. The Lawson software we currently use will not be supported by Infor beginning in 2026, which is one reason we are moving to a new ERP software partner.

Our decision to select Workday as our software partner was not made lightly, and we considered many factors. We chose the Workday solution for several reasons, including:

• Its ability to streamline core business processes and to help everyone in the organization be more efficient.
• An intuitive user interface to simplify benefits and payroll maintenance for employees and to improve the job application process for candidates.
• Out-of-the box integrations with some of our other key software such as Epic and Tecsys, which will simplify information sharing and help us make business decisions more rapidly.
• The potential to reduce our reliance on external “bolt-on” systems, which will help reduce the cost of care as well as simplify our IT configuration.

Just like we are working to improve the patient experience through enhanced access to care, our ERP solution will help improve the employee experience, streamline our work, provide a single source of truth for data and support the clinical and operational requirements of our patients.

We are planning a fall kickoff to prepare for a summer 2025 go-live. This project will be a significant undertaking, similar in size to the Epic Horizon project. Because of the large scope of the ERP project, we are calling it Nexus. A nexus is a connection or series of connections linking two or more things—in this case, Workday will connect people, data and other software solutions.

You will hear more about this project in the coming months and may be asked to take part in the implementation planning. We have created a Nexus hub to keep you updated about the project.
