Help Us Celebrate the Week of Gratitude!

During the coronavirus pandemic, you have continued to provide compassionate care every day to our patients. It has been a tough year, and you have stayed committed to helping our community.

Along the way, our community has given back to us, and we continue to be humbled by the support we have received. Over 230 individuals and organizations have donated money, PPE and meals, and many more have offered thoughtful gestures of support. Their generosity has allowed us to stay safe, nourished and connected.

To express thanks to those who have donated and offered their support throughout the pandemic, we will launch a Week of Gratitude campaign next week.

Businesses that have supported us with donations will receive a letter of thanks from President and CEO Nancy Howell Agee and a custom challenge coin.

We will also feature this video on our social media channels to extend our gratitude to our community. If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram, consider sharing the video so everyone knows how much we appreciate their support!

Another way we will show our appreciation is with $5 coupons handed out by our community health educators at these farmer’s markets:

  • Saturday, Nov. 21
    • Blacksburg (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
    • Grandin in Roanoke (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
    • Rocky Mount (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Nov. 24
    • West End in Roanoke (3 - 6 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, Nov. 25
    • Lexington (8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

To ensure support of our entire service region, we will make $1,000 donations to food pantries in the communities where farmer’s markets are not open.

  • Tazewell – A Child Shall Lead Them Food Pantry
  • Giles – Giles County Christian Mission

We’re thankful for the ways our community has come together during this challenging year. It’s through your hard work and their support and generosity that we’ve been able to make a difference!
