Groundbreakers: Organizational Changes
We are excited to announce that Charlotte Tyson has joined our team as vice president.
Charlotte is a seasoned health care executive with over 35 years of experience. She is well known in the region having spent most of her career within the Lewis Gale Regional Health System. She started her career as an oncology nurse at Lewis Gale Medical Center, then served in numerous leadership roles including director of Oncology and Medical Surgical Services, director of Quality and Risk Management, chief nursing officer, chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer.
Initially, Charlotte will lead our Guest and Volunteer Services, oversee our visitor screening processes and help with other important organizational initiatives.
In addition to the above responsibilities, Charlotte will assist Marty Misicko in our CMC campus expansion and renovation work; this is one of the largest construction projects in the history of the Roanoke Valley and she will provide valuable insight and guidance as we begin this work in the coming months.
We’d like to thank Amy Lax for taking on the leadership of the visitor and screening process—a new process that has become incredibly important for all of us. And thank you to Heather Davenport, who has been providing leadership to Guest and Volunteer Services for the last month.
Please join us in welcoming Charlotte to the Carilion team.
