Feedback and Goals—Are You Tracking Your Progress?

Submitted by eapullin on

Fiscal year 2025 has been a busy one! With the approval of our kidney transplant program, the launch of enhanced security measures, the opening of the expanded Emergency Department at CRMH, expanded research opportunities and preparations for Nexus go-live, there is a lot of amazing work happening around our system!

These are just some of our accomplishments. Other notable work is also taking place now and expected soon—and it's only June!

Our success would not be possible without your contributions. Be sure you’re taking time to measure your own individual progress by updating your goals and asking for feedback along the way.

If it's been a while since you made updates in Cornerstone, the refresher tips below will help you get back on track.

Give and Ask for Feedback

Giving and requesting feedback is the best way to improve, and it should happen all year. The feedback you give and receive helps paint a full picture of your successes and improvement opportunities for your leader. Here is a quick overview of how it works in Cornerstone. More details, including when to request or give feedback, are in the job aid below.

Give Feedback

  • Type the first and last name of the coworker you want to give feedback to into the Cornerstone search box in the upper right corner.
  • Select the coworker in the search results to display their profile.
  • Click the Feedback tab on their profile to type your message and share your feedback.

Request Feedback

  • Click My Profile under the Home tab on the Cornerstone homepage.
  • Click the Feedback tab on your profile.
  • Click in the text box provided and type out a short invitation to your coworker or client, requesting their feedback.
  • In the text box below, type the names of the coworkers you are requesting feedback from. You can make the feedback anonymous as long as you enter three or more names.

Update Your Goals

Track progress toward your goals throughout the year.

Don't forget:

  • It is important to have precise and current goals to accurately represent your performance and achievements.
  • Have at least one operational and one developmental goal; your operational goal must connect to the scorecard.
  • Your leader won't be able to provide a score on the Goals section of your review if Cornerstone doesn't reflect changes to your goals.
  • Write SMART (S – specific, M – measurable, A – achievable, R – relevant, T – timebound) goals.
