Designed to feel as familiar as a social media feed, Limelight makes recognition quick, easy, and immediate. Share a meaningful thank-you, celebrate an everyday win, or highlight a colleague who brings our mission and values to life. Tag the colleague you’re recognizing, and they’ll be notified right away.

With Limelight, you can:

Recognition is an important part of our culture and how we deliver on our mission. We’re building on that foundation by adding this new tool to support you! 

Limelight creates a more consistent and accessible approach to recognition across Carilion. While appreciation may look different from team to team today, the new platform gives us a shared way to make recognition timely, specific, and part of our everyday work. Over time, nearly all recognition efforts will come together in this new platform, helping us celebrate the contributions and behaviors that make a meaningful difference for our teams, our patients, and the communities we serve. 

What's Changing?

The Wow Wall

As Limelight becomes Carilion’s central place for employee recognition, the Wow Wall will sunset Monday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. After that time, you will no longer be able to access previously published Wow Wall posts.

If there are Wow Wall posts you want to keep, follow the instructions in the downloadable pdf to save them before the deadline. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6, use Limelight to recognize colleagues who go above and beyond, support their teammates, elevate our work, and bring our mission and values to life!

The Wow Wall has also been a valuable resource for department updates, team news, and educational content. Look for guidance on Inside Carilion about where to share this information going forward. 

What Stays the Same?

Workday

Workday will continue to be the confidential place for professional development and performance feedback. You will still capture goals and gather feedback related to meeting your organizational and developmental goals in this platform. Limelight is open for everyone to see fellow employees be recognized and appreciated.
