Employee Resource Group (ERG) Application

Thank you for your interest in joining an Employee Resource Group (ERG). ERGs are made up of Carilion Clinic employees (FT/PT/Flex) who volunteer their time to contribute toward enriching the employee culture and workplace experience. ERGs are inclusive and do not limit participation to any particular race, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, ethnicity, or other protected classification.

Voluntary membership expectations of the ERGs include:

  • Maintaining good standing without a Disciplinary Action or Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Obtaining manager’s approval to participate.
  • Being available for regular group meetings and attendance at a majority of ERG meetings- as determined by each ERG.
  • Maintaining open minds, supporting the organization’s values, and advocating for the diversity & inclusion process.
  • Maintaining confidentiality where appropriate.

ERG members are responsible for defining their group purpose and remaining accountable to action items. Individuals may join one ERG if they so wish, but must submit one application per ERG.

ERG Applications are processed quarterly for join dates in monthly meetings for the months of January, April, July, and October.
