Application Process
Accordion Body
  1. Employees may apply for posted positions for which they meet the minimum qualifications by submitting an online Application for Employment during the published posting period.
  2. The HR recruiter reviews the personnel files of employees applying for promotion or transfer. Performance information, including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions, is considered when evaluating the employee’s qualifications for transfer.
  3. Prior to finalizing an offer, the hiring manager may check the employee's references, including the current manager, to ensure current performance meets standards. The hiring manager or recruiter typically communicates with the applicant prior to contacting the applicant’s current manager.

Offer and Notice Period
Accordion Body
  1. An employee offered a transfer generally transfers according to the notice period for his/her position (2 weeks or 30 days) or as agreed between the employee’s current manager and the hiring manager. See above for required notice periods.
  2. The notice period should include worked hours only. Any Paid Time Off taken during the notice period may extend the notice period.
  3. Timely notification to the employee’s current manager is typically the responsibility of the employee. The effective date is agreed upon by both managers based on patient care, business and employee needs, in consultation with HR.
  4. Employees should be transferred at the beginning of a pay period following completion of the notice period.
